Top 10 goalscorers in Europe 2025/26: Haaland, Kane, Mbappe clash for the Golden Boot
Four players are tied on nine goals: Antoine Semenyo, Vedat Muriqi, Joaquin Panichelli and Lautaro Martínez. Among them, only Semenyo is a winger, while the other three are their teams’ primary strikers. Of those four clubs, only Lautaro Martínez’s Inter sit at the top of their league. Strasbourg are currently seventh in Ligue 1, Mallorca are 13th in La Liga, and Bournemouth are 15th in the Premier League.
The next group includes three players with 11 goals: Ferran Torres, Igor Thiago and Mason Greenwood. Ferran Torres is enjoying a breakthrough campaign, overtaking Robert Lewandowski to lead Barcelona’s attack. Greenwood remains a key figure under Roberto De Zerbi, helping his side climb to third place in Ligue 1 while staying in the Champions League round of 16.
Igor Thiago is one of the most notable cases this season. After enduring a difficult previous campaign without scoring in the Premier League, the Brentford striker has emerged as one of the club’s standout performers, helping them remain in the top 10.
Third on the list is Kylian Mbappé with 18 goals in La Liga. Since Xabi Alonso’s arrival in Madrid, Mbappé has been established as the focal point of the attack. The French captain is currently leading the scoring charts in both La Liga and the Champions League, although he still trails the two most prolific scorers this season.
At the top are Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, both with 19 goals. After a challenging previous season, Haaland has returned in dominant form and is once again targeting his own Premier League record of 36 goals set in the 2022/23 campaign.
Kane, meanwhile, continues to defy age as he approaches 33, spearheading Bayern Munich’s title charge and helping them open up a nine-point lead over Borussia Dortmund. Notably, the second-highest scorer in the Bundesliga currently has just eight goals, shared by Denis Undav, Jonathan Burkardt and Kane’s teammate Luis Díaz.
The European Golden Shoe is awarded to the top league goalscorer across Europe. Last season, Kylian Mbappé claimed the prize with 31 goals in La Liga, although his tally was not enough to help Real Madrid secure the league title.
